Founded in 2000, MedRad Clinics, SC provides diagnostic and interventional radiological services. Its founder Kenneth Uzoma Ekechukwu, MD, offers information to physicians and patients on interventional radiology (IR) and the appropriate use of imaging modalities (CT scan, ultrasound, magnetic resonance imaging, etc.).
Dr. Ekechukwu has practiced diagnostic and interventional radiology since 2000 and has been an internist since 1993. He graduated from the College of Medicine, University of Ibadan, Nigeria in 1984 and holds a Master’s degree in public health from the University of Alabama, Birmingham. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and a member of several medical associations.
The mission of MedRad Clinics, SC is threefold: to promote the use of minimally invasive interventional radiological procedures by healthcare providers in caring for their patients; second, to elevate the awareness of the specialty among patients; third, offer guiding suggestions on the appropriate use of imaging modalities in caring for the sick to achieve efficiency and reduce cost. MRC achieves its mission through deep and abiding faith in the meritorious role interventional radiology plays in modern medical care, publications at its website, and by living and working out its motto: Care Is Our Specialty.
